Cowboy
Mounted
Shooting
Schedule
and
Season
Guide
Cowboy
Mounted
Shooting
is
an
incredibly
dynamic
sport
with
a
highly
structured
competitive
season.
If
you
are
a
competitor
like
our
very
own
Ohio
defense
attorney
Sallynda
Rothchild
or
just
a
fan
wanting
to
watch
the
action,
understanding
how
the
season
works
and
knowing
the
local
schedule
is
important.
How
the
Season
Works
and
Culminates
The
Cowboy
Mounted
Shooting
Association
season
is
built
on
a
strict
points
system.
Competitors
start
by
participating
in
local
club
events.
As
riders
compete,
they
earn
points
based
on
their
placement
and
their
specific
division
levels.
These
local
shoots
act
as
steppingstones.
The
points
riders
gain
allows
them
to
qualify
for
larger
and
higher
stakes
events.
Some
weekend
events
even
offer
"Double
World
Points"
to
help
riders
rank
up
faster.
The
season
moves
from
local
club
shoots
to
State
Championships,
then
to
Regional
Championships.
The
entire
year
builds
to
the
World
Championship.
This
grand
finale
features
the
best
riders
from
across
the
nation
competing
for
big
prize
pools,
custom
saddles,
belt
buckles,
and
the
of
course,
bragging
rights!
